Talk about the play this week and building momentum for the stretch run ...
"This week was a great test and a championship course. You had to be so precise with every facet of the game. We had a couple of stretches that cost us, but proud of the mentality to battle throughout and closing with one of the better rounds of the final day against a very good national field. Getting ready for the post season is all about a mentality and this week served us well in preparing for that grind."
Another tough field this week, what does that do for the team mentally matching up against some of the nation's best?
With our group all year we have been preaching staying patient and present for each and every shot. This golf course demanded that and our guys saw the benefit of what we are asking from them. We are improving and getting closer to where we want to be mentally.
Getting a chance to come back and play on a course you are familiar with this week ...
Playing at home is always a good thing and comfortable. But, it also can be a challenge if you add into it and press. Again, this is another chance for us to present and make good decisions and control the controllable. If we can do that, then the game becomes about execution and that puts us in a good spot to compete and play like we're capable.
