Jaguars get 5-2 win over Southeastern Louisiana

MOBILE, Ala. | The Jags kept the weekend momentum rolling, beating Southeastern Louisiana 5-2 Saturday afternoon to improve to 8-0 on the weekend.
 
The Lions claimed the first match of the day with a win at number one doubles, with Flory Bierma and Putri Insani getting a 6-2 win over Luminita Tutunaru and Tereza Dejnozkova. The Jags replied with a win at number two doubles, with the duo of Elysia Pool and Nikola Novotna beating Gabrielle Dekkers P. Suanarsa 6-1.
 
The Jags clinched the doubles point and took a 1-0 lead with a win at number three, where Delien Kleinhans and Otoha Aoki downed Bogi Csordas Carla Del Barrio 6-2.
 
Attention then turned to singles, where South was able to win on four of six courts to secure the win.
 
Tereza Dejnozkova struck first with a win at number five, beating Alba Perez in 6-1, 6-1 in straight sets. South extended their lead to 3-0 with a win from Otoha Aoki at number six, beating Southeastern Louisiana's Flory Bierma 6-3, 6-3.
 
Elysia Pool clinched the win for South for the second straight match with a win at number four, beating Kate Oborina 6-2, 7-5.
 
Southeastern Louisiana got on the board with a win at one, where Putri Insani issued Luminita Tutunaru her first loss of the season, beating her 6-4, 1-6, 6-2.
 
The Lions made it a 4-2 match with a win from Carla Del Barrio at number three, beating Delien Kleinhans 6-4, 0-6, 7-5.
 
Nikola Novotna got her third singles win of the season with a win at number two, beating Gabrielle Dekkers 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.
 
South hits the road next weekend, traveling to Birmingham for a pair of matches.
