MOBILE, Ala. – After a 2-0 weekend in New Orleans, the Jags return home to Mobile to welcome New Orleans on Friday and Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday. Both matches will start at 1 p.m.
South is 6-0 on the season, posting a perfect record last weekend, beating Sam Houston 4-0 and Tulane 4-3.
UNO is 5-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming at the hands of Tulane. Southeastern Louisiana is 0-2 on the season, dropping matches against LSU Alexandria and Louisiana-Lafayette.
South's most recent win saw wins on four of six singles courts. After dropping the doubles point, South was down 3-1 at one point, but battled back to secure the 4-3 win.
Luminita Tutunaru,
Tereza Dejnozkova,
Elysia Pool and
Chems Doha Zeghlouli earned singles wins while
Nikola Novotna and
Delien Kleinhans dropped their matches.
Dejnozkova, Tutunaru, Zeghlouli and
Otoha Aoki are all perfect in singles this season, with Dejnozkova and Aoki going 2-0 while Tutunaru and Zeghlouli are 6-0.
The doubles duos of Tutunaru/Dejnozkova is 2-0 on the season, while Kleinhans/Zeghlouli are 3-1 on the season.
New Orleans was 14-9 last season, while Southeastern Louisiana was 3-16.
South is undefeated against New Orleans, winning all 14 matchups. The Jags are 16-1 against the Lions of Southeastern Louisiana, with the lone loss coming in 1992.
All home matches are at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts and admission is free.
