MOBILE, Ala. – The Jaguars hit the road to Tallahassee for the second time this season, traveling to Florida A&M for a matchup at 4:30 p.m. CT. The game won't be streamed but live stats will be available.
 
South is coming off a tight loss to Nicholls, falling 58-61. Florida A&M is also coming off a loss, falling 59-79 to Houston.
 
For Friday's contest, both The Jaguars and the Rattlers are led by a new coach, as the Jags are led by Yolisha Jackson and the Rattlers by Bridgette Gordon. Friday will be the fifth time this season a game will feature two new head coaches: Mobile, Central Michigan, New Orleans, Nicholls, Florida A&M.

• South is coming off a 58-61 loss at Nicholls.

• Two Jaguars posted their first career double-doubles in the win over New Orleans, with Kelsey Thompson finishing with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Emani Burks finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Burks's 13 points and 10 rebounds are both new career highs, while Thompson's 13 rebounds are a career-high as well.
• South's trip to the Denver Classic saw two new career highs, with Rachel Leggett recording a career-high 8 rebounds vs Nevada and Jordan Rosier bringing down a career-high 5 rebounds vs Denver.
• South returns 73.6% of its scoring from a year ago, including SBC Freshman of the Year Kelsey Thompson, who led the Jaguars with 10.7 points per game.
• South Alabama also returned its leading rebounder, Kiana Anderson, who averaged 5.8 rpg last season.
• South returns 12 from last year's squad and added four newcomers. Tyrielle Williams and Janelle Jones return to the court after missing last season due to injury.

 
Florida A&M Notes

• Florida A&M is 1-6 on the year, with their lone win being a  59-54 win over Jacksonville University.
• Ahriahna Grizzle leads the Jaguars with 16.0 ppg.
• The Rattlers are averaging 55 ppg while allowing 76.7.
• Nashani Gilbert is averaging 4.2 rebounds a game.
• The most points the Rattlers have scored this season is 64 vs Tennessee.

• South Alabama leads the series 8-3 vs Florida A&M, with the last meeting being a 62-52 win in favor of Mobile.
