MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to Tallahassee for a matchup with the No. 12 ranked Florida State. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT.  
 
The Seminoles will be South's first ranked opponent since The Jaguars played #17 Georgia on 12/21/21. South Alabama and Florida State are meeting for the first time since 2004.
 
South Alabama (3-0) is coming off a 93-57 win over Tougaloo College, one that saw five Jaguars in double-figures for the first time since a 69-54 win over ULM on Jan. 13, 2022.
 
The 12th-ranked Seminoles are 2-0 on the season and will play the Florida Gators Friday night before the Jaguars travel to Tallahassee on Sunday.

• South is coming off a 93-57 win over Tougaloo, the first 30-point win since a 70-40 victory over Mobile in 2020.
• South Alabama is 3-0 to start the season for the first time since the 2018-19 season, and the Jags are outscoring opponents 244 to 173.
• The Jaguar squad also shot 52% from the field vs the Bulldogs, the first time South Alabama had shot 50% since the same game vs Coastal.
• South Alabama also had five Jags in double-figures for the first time since a 69-54 win over ULM on Jan. 13, 2022.
• South returns 73.6% of its scoring from a year ago, including SBC Freshman of the Year Kelsey Thompson, who led the Jaguars with 10.7 points per game.
• South Alabama also returned its leading rebounder, Kiana Anderson, who averaged 5.8 rpg last season.
• South Alabama is led by first-year head coach Yolisha Jackson, who returns to Mobile after three years at South Florida.
• South returns 12 from last year's squad and added four newcomers. Tyrielle Williams and Janelle Jones return to the court after missing last season due to injury.

• Florida State is outscoring opponents 95.5 pgg to 77.0 ppg.
• The Seminoles are led by O'Mariah Gordon, who is averaging 21.5 ppg.
• Everyone Seminole who has played this season has recorded points.
• The Seminoles start hot, scoring a total of 63 points in the first quarter while holding opponents to just 33.

• South Alabama is 3-9 all-time against Florida State, with the last meeting being a 61-67 contest in favor of the Seminole on March, 17, 2004.
