MOBILE, Ala. - South Alabama (17-5, 8-2) is set to host in-state rival Troy (12-8, 10-0) on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. 

TEAM INFO
- The Jaguars have hung their hat on defense all season long. They rank top of the conference and top-25 nationally in digs/set and are first in the conference and 12th nationally in opp. hitting percentage with .153.
- Maddie Soboleski and Hannah Maddux make up a powerhouse offensive duo, with Maddux currently sixth in the conference (3.77) in kills/set, and Soboleski sitting at seventh (3.65). Both are also in the top 100 in the nation.
- Maddux is one of the most skilled servers in the entire nation. Her .58 aces/set is currently 11th in the nation.
- Kailey Keeble continues to be one of the country's premier Setters, leading the team assists/set to the top of the Sun Belt and ranking 12th in the country in individual assists/set.
- Niki Capizzi is eighth in the SBC in blocks/set with 1.09. She has 85 total on the season and is just the eighth player in South Alabama history to reach 300 career blocks.
- Paige Lynn has been a defensive constant for South, landing third in the conference in  digs/set (4.56) and second in total digs (369).

Troy continues travel off a trip to Monroe, Louisiana with a five set, then four set win. The Trojans sit atop the West Division with a white-hot 11 game win streak. Troy is 8-0 against shared opponents with South. South leads the all-time series against their in-state rival with a 50-33 record. The first meeting was a USA win in 1974. South lost both matches at Troy last season and have not hosted the Trojans since a 2021 3-0 win.

Junior OH Tori Hester leads the Trojans in kills this season and sits second in the conference in kills/set with 4.11 while also leading the team in service aces. Hester was named SBC Week 6 Offensive Player of the Week for her performance against Southern Miss. Hester also contributes defensively, ranking second on the team in total digs. Setter Janelle Stuempfig is third in the conference in assists per set. Defensively, Sophomore Jaci Mesa leads the team in digs and Senior Julia Brooks leads in blocks.

South Alabama takes their final regular season road trip to Conway, S.C. for a cross-divisional faceoff against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 6 at 12 p.m.
