MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball opens the new year on the road, with a weekend road swing at Georgia State on Thursday and Old Dominion on Saturday. The Jags are looking for their first conference win of the season.
South is coming off a 37-58 loss to Southern Miss, while Georgia State defeated ULM 59-49 and Old Dominion lost to James Madison 54-68.
South Alabama was picked to finished 13
th in the Sun Belt, with Georgia State coming in at 11th and Old Dominion 2
nd.
South Alabama and Georgia State are meeting for the 24
th time and South and Old Dominion for the 14
th. The Jaguars and the Monarchs are meeting for the first time since 1991.
