NEWTOWNBREDA, BELFAST, Ireland – The University of South Alabama men's golfer Jack Hearn won the Ulster men's Stroke Play at the Belvoir Park Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year carded a 12-under-par 201 three-round score in his first victory of the summer.
Hearn began the event with seven birdies, including two back-to-back on holes 5 and 6, in the first round and took the lead during the second round after shooting a bogey-free 6-under-par 65. The senior finished the third round of the event with a 4-under-par 67, solidifying his victory at the tournament.
In total, the South Alabama senior had 18 birdies, the most out of the field, and led in par-4 scoring with an average of 3.78.
