PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team defeated Coastal Carolina at the Peachtree City Tennis Center in the semifinal round of the Sun Belt Tournament on Saturday.
The teams played all three doubles courts to completion with the Jags ultimately earning the point with wins on courts one and three. South went on to win on singles courts two and five in straight sets with the winning point coming from a third set victory on court three.

NOTES
- South Alabama has reached the final round each of the tournament eight of the last nine years with the missing season being 2020 which was cancelled due to COVID-19.
- The Jags will face the winner of the remaining semifinal match between No. 2 seed Georgia State and No. 3 seed UTA.
- Each of the three remaining teams are regular season co-champions for the Sun Belt.
- During the regular season the Jags defeated Georgia State 4-1 a week before falling to UTA 0-4 for their only conference loss.
