NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama men's golfer Jack Hearn was voted the Sun Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Thursday.

Hearn (67-66-70) earned his first tournament victory with a season-low 13-under par 203 at the Craft Farms Invitational, which South Alabama hosted March 27-29 at the Craft Farms Golf Course – Cotton Creek. The senior shot under par in all three rounds highlighted by a season low 6-under 66 during the second round. He also led in par-three scoring with a 3-under par average of 2.75 and recorded the second-most birdies (17) at the event while leading the Jags to their first win of the season. 

It marked the first time a Jaguar has received the honor since Yannick Schütz was voted SBC Men's Golfer of the Week on March 3, 2021. It is also the first time that Hearn has ever received the honor. He leads the team with a 71.75 stroke average and holds the lowest tournament score so far this season. 

The Jaguar men's golf team will travel to West Point, Miss., on April 11 to compete in the Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship hosted by Mississippi State.
