MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team defeated Georgia Southern 4-1 at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts on Saturday.  

The Jags earned the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. The team went on the clinch the win with three singles victories on courts two, four and five. South Alabama left the remaining courts unfinished.

- On today's performance: "It's a good win. That's a team we have played in the conference finals the last two years so they are competitive, they know how to fight, they know how to stay in the match. It was not our best match today, we played a little tight and tentative but in the end we did a good job of taking care of it."
