THEY SAID IT
Head coach Jaco Keyser
- On today's performance: "I'm super excited about this one. I knew it was going to be a tough match. They've won six in a row coming into it and I know they've got good players. So for us to come out on top was a great sign for us moving forward. Every single match was a physical and well contested match. Those are the matches that we've got to figure out how to close out. It was a huge step forward today, in my opinion."
Graduate Student Nikola Kohoutova
- On what went well today: "We have consistently practiced so I just tried to do my best and implement whatever I try to do in practice in the match too."
-
On setting the tone early: "I think it was actually a big win for me today because the girl was playing well. I have seen her in the past year and I'm just happy that I got the win today in those two straight sets."
-
On winning 7-0 in a close match: "This one is very important for us now because we can take the confidence from it. We actually managed to win all four matches in the third set so I think that's really good for us and we can take a lot of positive stuff from it."
