MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball opens Sun Belt Conference play at home, hosting Marshall on Dec. 29 and Southern Miss Dec. 31.
South is coming off a 68-60 win against Mississippi Valley to close out nonconference play.
South Alabama was picked to finished 13
th in the Sun Belt, with Marshall coming in at 10
th and Southern Miss at 4
th.
South Alabama and Marshall are meeting for the first time on Thursday, while the Jags and the Eagles of Southern Miss are meeting for the 35
th time.
Marshall (7-4) won their last nonconference game 60-56 against UT Chattanooga and Southern Miss (7-4) defeated Long Beach State 56-50 their last time out.
