MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball looks to stay in the win column this weekend, as they travel to Macon, Ga., to face the Mercer Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
The Jags and the Bears met last season, with Mercer winning the matchup 53-67. The Jags are 7-6 all-time against Mercer, with Sunday's game being the second time the teams have met under their current head coaches.
South (2-4) is coming off a 62-52 win against Florida A&M, where senior transfer
Tristen Washington paced the Jags with 18 points, shooting 100% from behind the arc.
Mercer (2-4) is on a three-game losing streak, with their latest matchup being an 88-52 loss to Alabama.

Kelsey Thompson currently leads all Sun Belt Conference freshmen in points (11.2), assists (2.7) per game and steals per game (2.2).
