MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball looks to close out nonconference play in the win column, as they host Mississippi Valley State Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Center.
South Alabama and Mississippi Valley State are meeting for the first time since 2003, where South won 81-58. South holds a three-game streak against the Devilettes. South is undefeated at home against Mississippi Valley State.
South (3-7) is coming off a 56-58 loss to Alabama State, which saw three Jags in double figures, with
Michiyah Simmons pacing South with 14 points.
Tristen Washington had 12 points and
Kiana Anderson had 10 in the loss.
Mississippi Valley State (2-7) is coming off a 56-101 loss to UAB, where three Devilettes had double figures.
Tuesday's game is the final nonconference matchup for South Alabama before conference play starts Dec. 29.
