MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball looks to get back in the win column on Sunday, as they face the Florida A&M Rattlers at 1 p.m. in the Mitchell Center.
The Jags and the Rattlers last met on Jan. 18, 1992, with South coming out on top 69-68. The Jags are 7-3 all-time against Florida A&M, with the first meeting dating back to Dec. 11, 1980. The largest margin of victory for South came in 1985, when the Jags won by 18.
The Jags (1-4) are coming off a 40-64 loss against Southeastern Louisiana, and are looking for their first win since the season opening win against Spring Hill.
Southeastern Louisiana is on a two-game losing streak themselves, dropping games at Michigan State and Eastern Michigan.
Freshman guard
Kelsey Thompson currently leads all Sun Belt Conference freshman in points (12.8) and assists (2.6) per game and is currently second for rebounds per game (6.0).
