• South Alabama won the 2021 SBC Championship, which marked the first tournament win in program history, and advanced to the NCAA postseason in Gainesville, Fla., where they fell to Miami (Fla.). Kailey Keeble was named the 2021 SBC Most Outstanding Player, becoming the first Jaguar in program history to earn the distinction.
• Rachel Hickey was named the SBC Libero of the Year, marking the first time a Jaguar has earned the honor. She was also named first-team all-SBC, along with outside hitter Hannah Maddux. Middle blocker Niki Capizzi and setter Kailey Keeble were named second-team all-SBC.
• Hickey was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week twice this year (Oct. 4 & Oct. 11), earning the honor in consecutive weeks. She is the first Jaguar in program history to be voted defensive player of the week multiple times in a season.
• Keeble eclipsed 2,000 career assists at South Alabama in the Jags' Oct. 22 win over Texas State. She has recorded 19 double-doubles this season after posting on in Saturday's regular-season finale at JMU, and has recorded 38 career doubles at South Alabama, which ranks third in program history.
• Keeble was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week on Sept. 6. It marked the third time in her career she has received the honor after earning the award twice last season.
• South Alabama had a 20-game home win streak, which stood as the second-longest in the nation behind Florida Gulf Coast, snapped in its Oct. 21 loss to Texas State. It marked the first Jaguar loss at home since 2020, and the first under head coach Jesse Ortiz.
• USA captured 10 Sun Belt Conference victories in 2022, marking the second straight season it has won 10 or more league contests. The 2021 and '22 seasons mark the first time in program history the Jaguars have won 10 or more conference matches in consecutive years.
• The Jags lead the SBC in blocks (264), which ranks 24th nationally, digs per set (15.93) and opponent service aces per set (1.12), and second in assists per set (12.28)
• In conference matches this season, USA led the league in opponent hitting percentage (.174) and blocks (170), and ranked second in blocks per set (2.74), opponent service aces per set (1.08), digs (952) and digs per set (15.35).
• Middle blocker
Morgan Stalcup ranks second in the conference in blocks (116) and blocks per set (1.09). She ranked second in total blocks (77) and blocks per set (1.24) in league matches this season.
• Outside hitter Hannah Maddux ranked second in the SBC in kills (274), kills per set (4.42), total points (317) and points per set (5.11) in league contests this season. Overall, she ranks third in the SBC in kills (425) and points (488.5), and fourth in kills per set (4.01) and points per set (4.61). Maddux has recorded 10 or more kills in 18 of her last 19 matches, and posted double-digit kill totals in 15 of 16 Sun Belt matches this season.
• Outside hitter Maddie Soboleski ranks eighth overall in the SBC in points per set (4.10), tied for eighth in kills per set (3.69), and 10th in total kills (299) and points (332). She ranked 10th in the SBC in kills (138) and kills per set (3.45) in league matches this year. She has recorded double-digit kill totals in 19 of 21 matches played this season, including nine of 10 SBC contests.
• Middle blocker Niki Capizzi ranks fourth in the SBC overall in hitting percentage (.331) and blocks (103), and seventh in blocks per set (0.97). In league matches this season, she ranked fourth in blocks (64), fifth in blocks per set (1.03) and 10th in hitting percentage (.312).
• Setter Kailey Keeble ranks fourth overall in the SBC in assists (1063) and assists per set (10.12). In SBC matches, she ranked fifth in the league in assists (609) and assists per set (9.98).
