• This weekend marks the first-ever meeting between the schools.

Jag Notes
• South Alabama had its 20-game home win streak, which stood as the second-longest in the nation behind Florida Gulf Coast, snapped in its Oct. 21 loss to Texas State. It marked the first Jaguar loss at home since 2020, and the first under head coach Jesse Ortiz.
• USA enters the weekend with 10 Sun Belt Conference victories, marking the second straight season it has won 10 or more league contests. The 2021 and '22 seasons mark the first time in program history the Jaguars have won 10 or more conference matches in consecutive years.
• The Jags rank 23rd nationally in total blocks (249), which leads the Sun Belt Conference.
• South Alabama leads the SBC in opponent hitting percentage (.161) and total digs (853), blocks (155) and blocks per set (2.82) in league contests, ranks second in total points (956), tied for second in opponent service aces per set (1.04), and third in hitting percentage (.267), opponent blocks per set (1.75) and digs per set (15.51).
• Overall, the Jags lead the conference in total blocks (249), opponent service aces per set (1.10) and digs per set (16.06), rank second in points per set (17.05), opponent hitting percentage (.184), assists per set (12.25) and blocks per set (2.52).
• Middle blocker Morgan Stalcup leads the SBC in blocks (71) in league matches, ranks tied for first in blocks per set (1.29), and seventh in hitting percentage (.332).
• Libero Rachel Hickey ranks second in the SBC in digs (229) and digs per set (4.16) in conference contests. Overall, Hickey ranks fourth in the league in digs (401), and fifth in digs per set (4.09). She currently ranks fifth in career digs (1,289) at South Alabama.
• Hickey has been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week twice this year (Oct. 4 & Oct. 11), earning the honor in consecutive weeks. She is the first Jaguar in program history to be voted defensive player of the week multiple times in a season. 
• Outside hitter Hannah Maddux ranks second in the SBC in kills (239) and total points (281.5) in league matches, tied for second in kills per set (4.35), and third in points per set (5.12). Overall, she ranks third in the SBC in kills (390) and points (453), and fourth in kills per set (3.94) and points per set (4.58).
• Outside hitter Maddie Soboleski ranks eighth in the league overall in kills per set (3.65) and points per set (4.09), and 10th in kills (270) and points per set (302.5).
• Middle blocker Niki Capizzi ranks fourth overall in the SBC in hitting percentage (.345) and blocks (96), and ninth in blocks per set (0.97). In conference contests, she ranks fourth in blocks (57) and blocks per set (1.04), and sixth in hitting percentage (.336).
• Setter Kailey Keeble ranks fourth overall in the conference in assists (981) and assists per set (10.01), and ninth in digs (326) and digs per set (3.33). In league matches, she ranks fifth in assists (527) and assists per set (9.76).
• Keeble eclipsed 2,000 career assists at South Alabama in the Jags' Oct. 22 win over Texas State. She has recorded 18 double-doubles this season after posting two in two matches last weekend against Coastal Carolina, and has recorded 37 career doubles at South Alabama, which ranks third in program history.
• Keeble was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week on Sept. 6. It marked the third time in her career she has received the honor after earning the award twice last season.
