Quotables from head coach Ben Hannan
The guys have been battling against some of the nation's best all fall, how big is it to close the fall with a tournament win?
College golf is so competitive and winning is hard. Really happy for the guys. They have put in a lot of work this fall and it's nice to have them be rewarded for it.Â
You battled Mother Nature all week, how were the guys able to stay focused?
The weather conditions were certainly a challenge this week. Mentally you had to prepare for it. They stayed positive and dealt with the adversity well. There was one round canceled and we were delayed multiple times. It was cold and the wind changed directions constantly throughout the week and blew hard. The guys were patient and kind of took what was in front of them which was a key factor.Â
Momentum going into the spring off this week, how important is it to keep focused moving forward?Â
Winning is always fun, but definitely there is a lot to learn from this week. We will head into the off-season and focus on getting better each and every day. We have a solid spring schedule set, so we need to be ready when we begin again in January. Â
