All-Time Series
• Louisiana holds a 36-19 all-time lead over South Alabama in a series that dates back to Oct. 7, 1977. The Jags defeated the Cajuns in four sets last season in Lafayette, La. UL has won two of the last three meetings after a pair of wins in Lafayette in 2020. USA won the last meeting in Mobile, which came in 2019, in four sets.

• South Alabama owns the nation's second-longest home winning streak at 18 games, dating back to 2020, entering the weekend. Florida Gulf Coast boasts the nation's longest home win streak at 23 games. The Jags are 15-0 at home under head coach
Jesse Ortiz. In five home matches this season, USA has dropped just two total sets and earned three sweeps.
• The Jaguars rank seventh nationally in team attacks per set (37.44) and 19th in digs per set (16.40), both of which lead the Sun Belt Conference.
• South Alabama leads the SBC in digs per set (15.59) and opponent hitting percentage (.134), ranks tied for first in opponent blocks per set (1.55), and second in hitting percentage (.297), assists per set (13.05), kills per set (13.86), opponent service aces per set (0.91) and opponent kills per set (10.82), and tied for second in opponent service aces (20) in conference matches.
• Overall, the Jags lead the SBC in digs per set (16.36) and opponent service aces per set (1.09), rank second in assists per set (12.42), and third in kills per set (13.41).
• Libero
Rachel Hickey was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, marking the second straight week she has earned the honor. Hickey led the SBC in total digs (34) and digs per set (5.67) in a pair of wins at Arkansas State last weekend, recording 22 digs and 1.000 reception percentage on 15 attempts in Thursday's three-set win, and 12 digs in three sets in Friday's victory. She is the first Jaguar in program history to be voted defensive player of the week multiple times in a season.
• Outside hitter
Hannah Maddux was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week in consecutive weeks (Sept. 19 & Sept. 27) earlier this season.
Maddux leads the league in kills (109), kills per set (4.95) and average points per set (5.61) in conference matches, and ranks second in total points (123.5). Overall, Maddux ranks third in the SBC in kills (260) and total points (295), and fourth in kills per set (3.94) and average points per set (4.47).
• Outside hitter
Maddie Soboleski ranks fifth in the SBC in kills per set (3.93) and points per set (4.45), and ninth in kills (161) and total points (182.5).
• Middle blocker
Morgan Stalcup ranks fourth in blocks per set (1.23), tied for fourth in total blocks (27) and ninth in hitting percentage (.390) in league matches. Overall, she ranks tied for sixth in the SBC in hitting percentage (.331) and total blocks (66), and eighth in blocks per set (1.00).
• Middle blocker
Niki Capizzi ranks fourth in the SBC in hitting percentage (.372). In conference contests, Capizzi ranks fifth in hitting percentage (.407).
• Hickey ranks second in the SBC in digs (105) and digs per set (4.77) in conference matches. Overall, she ranks fifth in digs (277) and sixth in digs per set (4.26). She eclipsed the career 1,000-dig mark at South Alabama in a Sept. 9 loss to Kennesaw State in Starkville, Miss.
• Defensive specialist
Madisen Werdell ranks fifth in the league in service aces (10), and tied for seventh in service aces per set (0.45) in conference contests.
• Setter
Kailey Keeble ranks third in the SBC in assists per set (9.88), and fourth in total assists (649). She enters the weekend with 12 double-doubles this season after posting a double-double in last Saturday's sweep at Arkansas State, and has recorded 31 career doubles at South Alabama, which ranks third all-time.
• Keeble was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week on Sept. 6. It marked the third time in her career she has received the honor after earning the award twice last season.
