- South Alabama last won in Statesboro on Jan. 18, 2020 with a 71-65 victory.

- Against Georgia State, Vaught became the third Jag this season to register a double digit rebound total.

Last time with Georgia Southern
-The two teams split four games in the regular-season series, with South winning the opening contest both weekends.
-It was the first time the Jags forced the opposition into 25 or more turnovers since William Carey had 25 on Dec. 17, 2019.
-USA equaled a season high — first set at Auburn in December month — with 15 steals.
-The Jags' 25 rebounds were four less than the figure they recorded in a Jan. 2 loss against the Eagles as well as their fewest of the season thus far.
-It marked the 70th occasion dating back to the start of the 2016-17 season that Savannah Jones has scored 10-plus points.
-With a game-best three blocked shots, Antoinette Lewis became the third player in school history — and 11th ever in the Sun Belt — to post 200 in a career.
-The senior center/forward added a season-high five steals, making it the first time she has posted more than one in back-to-back contests since accomplishing the feat in three straight outings from Dec. 5-13.
-Devyn Lowe matched a season-high total in the category, first recorded on Dec. 20 at New Orleans, as well after finishing the game with three.
-Jayla Morrow also added a pair of steals, the 10th game in row that she has been credited with at least one; it was the seventh occasion during that stretch the senior has recorded multiple thefts.

Notes from Georgia State
- Georgia State extended its win streak over South Alabama to three. The contest also marked the Panthers' third straight win over the Jags in Atlanta.
- It marked South's first overtime game since a 78-76 win over Texas State on Jan. 25, 2020, and the first overtime loss since a 57-56 defeat to Appalachian State on Feb. 5, 2018.
- With 45 rebounds, South Alabama exceeded its previous season high of 40, which came against Faulkner on Dec. 14.
- From USA's 21 turnovers, a figure that ties its season high set at Georgia on Dec. 21, Georgia State was able to score 22 of its points.
- The Panthers also registered 48 points in the paint, the second-highest total by a Jaguar opponent this season.
- Georgia State's bench also outscored South's by nearly double, recording 31 points compared to the Jags' 17.
- Powell's buzzer-beater marks the second time she rallied for the Jags with less than five seconds in the game. The first time she played in the GSU Sports Arena, Dec. 18, she hit the game winning free throw against Charleston Southern with four seconds remaining.
- Vaught's 11 rebounds were the most of her career. It was also the first time the junior recorded double figures in the category.
- Howard posted double figures in scoring (16) for the second straight game.
- Responsible for all three of South's blocked shots in the contest, Anderson now has the most blocks by a Jag in single game this season.
