All-Time Series
• South Alabama owns an 11-2 all-time lead over Jackson State in a series that began in 1979. USA has won 11 of the last 12 meetings, including a straight-sets win in the last meeting between the schools, which came in Jackson, Miss., in 2013. JSU's last win over USA came in 2012 in five sets in Mobile.
• Mississippi State holds an 8-5 all-time lead over South Alabama in a series that dates back to Sept. 23, 1977. The Jags swept the last meeting between the schools, which came on Sept. 7, 2018, in Mobile. USA has won two straight in the series, with the last MSU win coming in 1992 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
• Sunday's matchup between South Alabama and Syracuse will mark the first-ever meeting between the schools.

• South Alabama leads the Sun Belt Conference in opponent hitting percentage (.139) entering the weekend.
• The Jags rank second in the league in digs per set (17.32), fourth in hitting percentage (.223), service aces per set (1.76) and blocks per set (2.12), and fifth in kills per set (12.94).
• Kennedy Wallace leads the Sun Belt Conference in hitting percentage (.409).
• Kailey Keeble ranks third in the league in assists per set (10.24).
• Rachel Hickey ranks fourth in the SBC in digs per set (4.68).
• Niki Capizzi ranks fifth in the conference in blocks per set (1.08).
• Maddie Soboleski ranks fifth in the Sun Belt in kills per set (3.38).
• Keeble and Soboleski lead the Jags with five double-doubles apiece. Soboleski has recorded double-doubles in her last three matches, while Keeble posted two at last weekend's Jax State Invitational in Jacksonville, Ala.
• Five of the Jaguars' six wins this season have come in straight sets. USA is 1-0 in four-set matches, but is 0-3 in five-set contests.
• Wallace has recorded a hitting percentage of .400 or greater in four of her last five matches, dating back to Sept. 3 against UNC-Asheville, with the lone exception a .364 hitting percentage against Southern Miss at last weekend's Jax State Invitational.
• Carissa Bradford has posted 10 or more kills in her last four matches, dating back to Sept. 4 against Valparaiso, including a career-high 18 against Southern Miss last weekend. Bradford recorded 49 kills in 12 sets played at last weekend's Jax State Invitational.
• Hannah Maddux finished with 14 kills and five total blocks in her season debut last weekend at Jacksonville State.
• Ezgi Karabulut and Keeble share the team lead with 10 service aces apiece, while Capizzi leads the team in service aces per set (0.34).
