MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama Department of Athletics has partnered with Opendorse to announce the official launch of the school's "Imprint" name, image and license (NIL) program on Monday.
"With the recent changes in law we are excited to partner with the industry leader in assisting with name, image and likeness education and program implementation," South Alabama Senior Associate Director of Athletics Jason Kelly said. "We believe our partnership with Opendorse will provide all Jaguar student-athletes with the necessary tools and resources to expand and build their personal brands and maximize their NIL earning potential."
"'Imprint' is poised to be among the most forward-thinking NIL education programs not only in the state of Alabama, but nationwide," added said Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence. "With Opendorse Ready™, South Alabama will provide their student-athletes with proven tools to build, monetize, and protect their personal brands, while understanding the demands of this new moment in college sports. We're thrilled to help Jaguars athletes and staff excel in the NIL era."
As part of the agreement, Opendorse will provide Jaguar Athletics with NIL resources and education including Zoom education sessions, access to NIL Masterclass, consultation with coaches and staff, as well as updates and insights on ever-changing NIL rules.
Opendorse Ready™ is the leading NIL education solution in sports, used by all levels including college athletes. The program provides student-athletes with industry-proven assessment, education, and performance tools to understand and build their personal brands. Having facilitated endorsement opportunities with thousands of professional athletes, Opendorse has built Ready on a foundation of tangible insights and data from a decade of athlete marketing experience.
The Opendorse Ready™ NIL Masterclass introduces the full scope of name, image and likeness (NIL) topics for student-athletes in an easy-to-understand video series. Made available on-demand on the Opendorse learning
platform, student-athletes can choose their areas of interest — or learn about it all — within their own schedule. With a new session released on a biweekly basis, student-athletes can hear from special guests from Twitter,
Facebook, Instagram, Overtime, Twitch, Team Altemus, Anomaly Sports Group and many more.
NIL topics featured in the program will be endorsements, entrepreneurship, social media, business and financial literacy, athlete perspective, content creation and opportunity management.
