MOBILE, Ala. – All 13 University of South Alabama sport programs had at least one individual recognized as the school concluded the spring semester with multiple graduation ceremonies at the Mitchell Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

One-third of the group of 66 student-athletes who have completed or will finish their undergraduate studies or master's degree over the summer were all-Sun Belt Conference performers during their careers, including women's individual cross country champion and NCAA Championship qualifier Carolien Millenaar and women's tennis player of the year Yu Fujioka.  Michael Flowers and Juilen Evrard were the newcomers of the year in men's basketball and men's tennis, respectively, this spring while Autavia Fluker was the most outstanding performer at the 2019 SBC Outdoor Women's Track and Field Championship.  The duo of Loïc Cloes and Clément Marzol — also from the men's tennis program — have competed in the NCAA Doubles Championship and men's golfer Yannick Schütz participated in an NCAA Regional as an individual, with men's and women's track and field members Hunter Appling, Christian Ellis, Noah Mumme, Rickssen Opont and Hanna-Mai Vaikla each claiming at least one event title at a Sun Belt Championship as well.

Other all-league performers receiving degrees this spring were football's Jalen Tolbert, Ana Helmert from the soccer team and women's tennis player Nikola Kohoutova, along with Warno Potgieter, Nate Pudner and Thomas Sand from the men's track and field program, and the women's track and field trio of Silje Lindstad, Susanna Pudner and Angeline Smit.

The Jaguar football team had the most spring graduates with 14 individuals recognized including Brian Ankerson — a two-time College Sports Information Directors of America academic all-district selection — Terrion Avery, DJ Daniels, A.J. DeShazor, Chris Henderon, Kelvin Johnson, Hadon Merchant, Braden Moody, Tylan Morton, Devin Rockette, Cade Sutherland, Jamel Thomas and Tré Young.

A total of 13 members of South's baseball program were honored as well, with the group featuring Andy Arguelles, JoJo Booker, Jase Dalton, Alden Davis, Kaleb DeLaTorre, Zach Harlan, Tyler Lehrmann, Noah Michael, Tyler Perez, Reid Powers, Miles Smith, Richard Sorrenti and Tyler Trussell.

Three other individuals from men's basketball — Kayo Goncalves, Sam Iorio and John Pettway — received degrees as did the trio of women's basketball players Jadona Davis, Devyn Lowe and Jayla Morrow.  Softball's Jordyn Calderon, Amanda Flynn and Kamdyn Kvistad will be recognized on the field as well prior to the Jags' regular-season finale against Troy Saturday afternoon, while three other women's track and field members were recognized with the group including Darnesha Harris, Halee Thomas and Micayah Upshaw.

Women's golfers Caroline Berge and Nele Mattner were also honored, with Ezra Blissard (men's tennis), Hannah Johnson (volleyball), Diana Monsalve (women's tennis) and Kyle Robinson (men's golf) rounding out the department's graduating contingent.
