Box Score HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team (6-2) fell 4-3 to Southern Miss (3-1) on Friday afternoon at the Southern Miss Tennis Facility in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Jaguars Nikola Kohoutova and Yu Fujioka started off doubles with a 6-1 victory against Sarah Medik and Ebry Zeynep Yazgan. Otoha Aoki and Aina Bernabeu clinched the doubles point for South with a 7-5 on court three, but the Golden Eagles fought back and won four of the six singles matches to end the day.

- Fujioka and Kohoutova improved to 3-0 in doubles play at the No. 2 position.
- Aoki and Bernabeu earned their second consecutive doubles win as a pair against the Golden Eagles (7-5).
- Kohoutova extended her winning streak in singles action to six matches, improving her overall record to 6-1. 
- Aoki improved to a 5-1 overall singles record, with her win coming in straight sets.
