MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team (6-1) hits the road for a busy weekend with a pair of matches. The Jaguars will take on Southern Mississippi (2-1) on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Southern Miss Tennis Facility in Hattiesburg, Miss., and then travel to New Orleans, La., on Sunday to face Tulane (6-3) at 1 p.m.

- Kohoutova earned her fifth consecutive singles win on Wednesday against Troy in straight sets (6-1,6-1).
- Fujioka improved to a 6-1 overall record in singles action this season, with five coming at the No. 1 position.
- Bernabeu made her collegiate debut for the Jags against the Trojans with her teammate Aoki on court three in doubles action.
- South Alabama leads 8-0 in the all-time series against Southern Mississippi after earning a 4-2 victory over the Golden Eagles last season on Feb. 2.
- USM returns to the courts after a successful weekend defeating West Alabama (6-1).
- Tulane has won five of the last six meetings against the Jaguars since 2010.
