MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama women's tennis head coach Jaco Keyser announced the 2021 spring schedule on Tuesday morning, which features 22 regular season matches, including 11 home contests at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.

"We have a good schedule that should adequately prepare us in our quest to repeat as Sun Belt champions," said Keyser. "We have some very tough challenges at home, and especially on the road, that should have us strong and prepared by the time we start conference play."

South Alabama opens the spring season playing host to West Alabama on Jan. 30. The Jaguars will host the next five matches starting with Xavier (La.) on Jan. 31 and Nicholls on Feb. 10. USA kicks off its conference play by hosting rival Troy on Feb. 11. The homestand will continue on Feb. 12 against Alabama State and Feb. 13 against Southeastern Louisiana.

A five-match road slate starts the following week for the Jags against Southern Mississippi on Feb. 18 and the weekend closes out in Birmingham at Samford on Feb. 20 and at UAB on Feb. 21. The Jaguars will travel to New Orleans to take on Tulane on Feb. 28 and then head to Florida to face South Florida on March 6 and North Florida on March 7.

USA returns to Mobile for a five-match home stretch against Coastal Carolina (March 13) and Appalachian State (March 14). The Jags will host Indianapolis on March 17 and close out the weekend hosting its final home matches against Georgia Southern on March 20 and Georgia State on March 21.

"It's definitely an added twist with playing East division teams only [twice] during the regular season especially, with the East being loaded, but we welcome all challenges thrown our way," stated Keyser."

South Alabama will conclude its regular season with five matches on the road beginning March 25 against rival Troy. The Jags will head to South Carolina to take on Coastal Carolina on April 3, and then to North Carolina to face Appalachian State on April 4. The Jaguars will travel and face Georgia Southern (April 10) and Georgia State (April 11) to round out regular-season action.

The Sun Belt Championships will take place from April 16-18 in Peachtree City, Ga., at the Peachtree Tennis Center.
