Opening Tip
• This is the first of two straight games on the road for the Jaguars to end the regular season.
• After taking the first match-up between the two teams two weeks ago South ended the Red Wolves' three-game series win streak.
• A-State has claimed each of the last seven meetings in the series in Jonesboro.
• USA's last win on the road over the Red Wolves was a 69-68 decision on Jan. 18, 2009, although the Jags did pick up a 62-38 victory in Hot Springs, Ark., on March 3, 2012, in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
• Each of the last five games in the series have been decided by a double-digit margin.

Shining On Senior Day
Playing in her final regular-season home contest, senior Shaforia Kines posted 24 points to share game-high honors in the Jaguars' match-up with Troy; after recording her eighth outing in a row with a double-digit scoring total, it was the 14th time this season she has led the team in the category.  With the effort, Kines passed both Whitney Woodard (2004-07) and Kathy Bailey (1981-84) to move into 15th place on South's all-time scoring list.

Lending A Helping Hand
Kines was also credited with four assists against the Trojans to pace all players, making it the third straight game that a different individual has led USA in both scoring and assists — Damaya Telemaque posted 20 points and five assists in the last meeting with the Red Wolves on Feb. 20, while Kennedi Centers turned the trick with 14 points and five helpers two days later against Little Rock.  Kines also climbed into the eighth spot in assists in the program's record book after catching Sara Carter (2000-04) and Metta Christensen (1990-93).

Post Presence Provides Points
C Antoinette Lewis has scored 10 or more points in 20 games this year after finishing with 12 in the Troy contest, as she reached double figures in back-to-back outings for the first time since wins over Louisiana and ULM on Feb. 6 and 8 earlier last month. That included scoring the 1,200th point of her career, and after chipping in with four blocked shots it marked the 40th occasion in her career that the junior has led all players in the latter category.

Centers Cleans Up On The Glass
Centers celebrated Senior Day last time out by recording a career-high 13 rebounds, with the 12 she grabbed on the defensive end of the floor the most by a Jag this season.  It was the first time the forward has ended up in double figures in the category since pulling down 11 in a win over Louisiana on March 11 last season in the opening round of the Sun Belt Tournament, giving her an average of 9.3 boards per outing during South's three-game homestand.  Centers shared game-high honors with four steals against Troy as she has posted eight in the last two contests after she had six in the Jags' previous five outings combined.

Efficient On The Offensive End
Sophomore guard/forward Jala Buster set a new career high last time out after making all three of her three-point attempts, the fourth occasion she has connected on multiple tries from beyond the arc in Sun Belt play.  She finished the day with 10 points in nine minutes, scoring in double digits for the first time since posting 14 points at Coastal Carolina on Feb. 15 as Buster has now recorded 10-plus points in each league contest she has made two or more treys.

Additional Notes From The Troy Game
• It was the first time this season that Savannah Jones has been held below 10 points in consecutive contests.
• South was 11-of-24 from beyond the arc in the game, the fourth time in the last five outings the Jags have made 10-plus three-pointers.
• USA was credited with 11 steals, the second time in the last four games the team has reached double digits in the category after doing so twice in the first 24 contests of the season.
• The Jaguars were outrebounded by 10 in the second half as Troy finished with a 48-36 edge on the boards.
• The Trojans' two three-point field goals matched the lowest total against South first set by Coastal Carolina on Feb. 15.

Notes From The Last Arkansas State Meeting
• Telemaque recorded a game-high 20 points, the first time she scored 20 or more since Nov. 17, 2018.
• Jones moved into 13th place on South's all-time scoring list after adding 16 points.
• Lewis went over 800 rebounds in her career after leading all players with 10 in the contest.
• Kines had five rebounds in the previous three games combined before finishing with six against the Red Wolves.
• Centers tied a season high at the time with 12 points and posted another after handing out four assists.
