THEY SAID IT
Head coach Nick Brochu
- On the loss to UCF:
"It was a little disappointing because we had the momentum from the start. I was very satisfied with how we performed in doubles. We started strong in singles but we did not take our chances and distance ourselves from our opponents. We were up a break, but let UCF gain momentum, and from that point UCF became loud and energetic, taking over the match. They are ranked in the top 25 of the nation and are very well coached and very talented."
- On player performances and moving forward:
"It was great to see Martin [Bugaj] fight back so hard after losing a set. Loïc [Cloes] played toe-to-toe with one of the best players in the nation. Louis [Delcour] was also playing big-time tennis. We're a little disappointed with how we let UCF back into it, but at the same time we learned a lot today. South Florida is a similar team, so we need to start strong and stay strong Friday."
