MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis program will take part in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic, an event featuring top teams from across the nation.
The Jaguars will open play at the tournament with a quarterfinal match-up against Princeton — who stands fifth in the Oracle/ITA rankings released on Tuesday — that is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. (CST) Friday at O'Connor Tennis Center.

-The tournament field also includes Alabama, Arizona, #31 Auburn, SMU, #19 Wake Forest and Yale.
-Play will continue on Friday with doubles action in the semifinal and consolation semifinal rounds, with the winner of the match between the Jaguars and Tigers facing the victor of the Alabama/Yale quarterfinal pairing.
-Action on Saturday will feature singles play from each team's second match as well a third match in either the championship or consolation rounds.
-The Jags begin the weekend with a 5-3 record after defeating Xavier (La.) 6-1 in their last outing on Friday.
-Princeton comes into the match 7-1 with three victories this spring over top-20 opponents.
-Harvard is the only member of the Ivy League the Jaguars have ever faced, with South going 1-2 against the Crimson; the two schools last met Feb. 11, 2006.
