Opening Tip
• This is the last of four games in a row at home for the Jaguars over the first two weeks of the season.
• It is also South's final scheduled appearance at the Mitchell Center in 2020.
• USA is looking for back-to-back wins for the first time this year.
• The Crusaders are the second of two non-NCAA Division I opponents currently on South's schedule.
• The Jaguars have claimed 28 straight match-ups against non-NCAA Division I schools, a streak that dates back to a Dec. 14, 1991, victory over Spring Hill.

William Carey Series Notes
• All four of South's wins have been by a double-digit margin.
• Each of those victories have come in Mobile after WCU won the first-match-up between the two teams in Hattiesburg.
• The Jaguars have allowed an average of 40.3 points per contest in three wins during current head coach Terry Fowler's tenure.

In Control Against The Colonels
Antoinette Lewis was 9-of-12 from the floor and made all five attempts from the free-throw line to lead all players with 23 points in the Jags' win over Nicholls on Saturday, adding eight rebounds and four blocks — also game-high totals — and a pair of steals in 27 minutes of work.  It was a season-best point total for the senior forward/center, who now has recorded nine straight games scoring in double figures, while it marked the first occasion since defeating Arkansas State in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference on March 10 that the senior has posted 20 or more points in a contest.  Lewis, who moved up to 11th place on South's all-time scoring list with the effort, also led the Jaguars in rebounding for the second time in as many outings and has paced the squad in blocks in all three games in 2020-21.

Scoring Surge
G Mahogany Vaught chipped in with 14 points in the victory over the Colonels after making all but one shot from the field; after scoring 17 points in her season debut against Tulane earlier in the week, it was the first occasion in her career that she has finished with 10 or more points in back-to-back outings.  The junior added a career-best seven rebounds as well, surpassing by one the total she corralled in a victory at Tennessee State on Nov. 26, 2018.

Efficient Effort For Davis
Center Jadona Davis posted a career-high 11 points in the Nicholls win, making 3-of-4 attempts from floor and 5-of-6 shots at the foul line.  It was the first time she has scored in double digits at the collegiate level, as her previous best of nine points came against Southern California on Dec. 19, 2017, when she was a member of Middle Tennessee's program.

Heating Up
After connecting on 26-of-45 shot attempts against Nicholls, it marked the first time since a Feb. 20 win over Arkansas State last year that South has made more than half its shots from the field.  The Jags have now won each of their last eight contests when shooting 50 percent or better from the floor.

Additional Notes From The Nicholls Game
• The Jaguars' 40 points in the paint were the most they have recorded thus far this season.
• USA has now outscored each of its first three opponents in the paint, the first time it has accomplished the feat in three straight contests since Jan. 11-18 a year ago.
• It was the first time since the Jags' meeting with William Carey last December that USA has won when making fewer three-pointers than the opposition.
• G Devyn Lowe was credited with a career-high six assists, the most handed out by a Jaguar this year.
• Jaylen Mallard has now pulled down five or more rebounds in three straight contests for the first time since joining the program at the start of the 2019-20 season after finishing the night with six.

Notes From The Last William Carey Meeting
• Jones became the 20th player in school history to record 1,000 career points after making a pair of free throws late in the first period.
• It was Lewis' fifth game in a row with a double-figure rebounding total.
• Lowe was credited with three steals for the third time during the team's non-conference schedule.
• The Jaguars' 12 steals were the most they recorded during the 2019-20 campaign.
• It was the last of four non-conference victories for the Jags last year in which they held the opposition below 60 points.
