Opening Tip
• The Jaguars aim for a sweep of the Georgia swing for the fourth season in a row.
• USA has won each of the last four meetings between the two schools, the longest streak in the series for either program.
• Prior to the current stretch, the two teams had split the first six match-ups after the Eagles joined the Sun Belt Conference prior to the 2014-15 season.
• The Jags have claimed the last three meetings at Hanner Fieldhouse, with GS last defeating South at home on Jan. 7, 2016.
• Three of South's last four victories in the series have been by double digits, but before that the previous three match-ups were decided by nine points or less.
Follow Her Lead
Savannah Jones posted 17 points and six rebounds in the Jaguars' victory on Thursday in Atlanta, with the redshirt junior finishing 7-of-11 from the field. With the effort, she led South in scoring for the first time since posting a season-best 25 points in the team's final non-conference game at East Tennessee State on Dec. 20, while it marked the first occasion she has paced the program on the boards since the championship contest of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on March 16 last winter. Jones was 3-of-6 from beyond the arc as well, helping her become the first player in program history to surpass 200 career three-point field goals.
Sophomore Stands Out
Not only did G Mahogany Vaught score her first points since the ETSU contest on a three with the shot clock about to expire to close out the scoring in the opening half at Georgia State, she would go on to finished in double digits in the scoring column for the first time in her career after ending the night with 10 on 4-of-7 shooting. That included making the first two three-pointers of her collegiate career with the sophomore also tying a season high after pulling down three rebounds.
Efficient And Effective
That's what senior Shaforia Kines was in the GSU contest, going 4-of-5 from the field — highlighting by making both of her three-point attempts — to finish with 10 points in just 10 minutes of action for her fifth straight outing scoring in double figures. The guard also handed out four assists without committing a turnover, with the last of those helpers the 300th of her career as she led team in category for 10th time this season and 40th occasion in her career.
Producing In The Post
C Antoinette Lewis has now scored 10 or more points in each of the last four games after recording 10 against the Panthers last time out, and she added six rebounds marking the 14th time in 17 outings this season that the junior has led the squad or shared team-high honors in the category. Lewis was 5-of-10 from the floor in the win as she has shot 50 percent or better in the last three of contests after falling shy of that mark in each of the previous three outings.
Buster On The Boards
Sophomore Jala Buster matched a career high in rebounds after snaring six in the victory at GSU, sharing team-high honors in the category for the first time since joining the program. The guard/forward also scored seven points against the Panthers, giving her 16 in the Jags' last two wins after she posted three points combined in the previous two outings.

• USA has held the opposition below 40 percent from the field in eight of the last nine games after the Panthers finished 23-of-67 (34.3%) on the night.
• South recorded a season-best 23 assists on its 33 made field goals, the second time in the last three contests it has been credited with a helper on at least half of its baskets.
