MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team will compete in the Owl Invitational this weekend at KSU Convocation Center in Kennesaw, Ga.

USA (4-3) will square off with Samford at 11 a.m. (CT) Saturday, and will close the tournament with a 6 p.m. (CT) match against tournament host Kennesaw State. 

Live stats for each of the Jaguars' matches will be available, while the match against KSU will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Links for live stats and Saturday's stream against KSU can be accessed through the Jaguar volleyball schedule page at USAJaguars.com.

South Alabama carries a four-match win streak into the weekend after defeating Alcorn State in straight sets Tuesday at Jag Gym. USA swept the Jaguar Invitational last weekend in Mobile with wins over Tennessee State, Northwestern State and Mississippi Valley State.

The Jaguars rank fifth in the Sun Belt Conference in hitting percentage (.233) and service aces per set (1.43) entering the weekend. Kelley Hartman leads the conference in hitting percentage (.422), and ranks ninth in kills per set (3.38). Paige Lynn ranks tied for second in the league in service aces per set (0.58), Ashlyn Roberts ranks fifth in digs per set (4.14) and Lillie Fromdahl ranks seventh in assists per set (7.80).

KSU (5-2) also carries a four-match win streak into the weekend, and will open the tournament Friday evening against Samford (4-2), which enters the weekend with a four-match win streak.

South Alabama holds a 2-1 all-time lead over Kennesaw State in a series that began in 2007. KSU defeated the Jaguars in straight sets in the previous meeting, which came in 2010 in Hattiesburg, Miss. The all-time series between USA and Samford is even at 11-11 after the Bulldogs swept the Jags in 2016 in Birmingham, Ala.
