Opening Tip
• This is both the Jaguars' last non-conference contest of the 2019-20 season as well as their final appearance of the 2019 calendar year.
• A win in this game would give the Jags a record of .500 or better entering Sun Belt Conference action for the third year in a row.
• USA and ETSU meet for just the second time, as last season's match-up at the Mitchell Center was the first-ever in the series.
• It's the second consecutive year that South will visit the Volunteer State after defeating Tennessee State 78-56 in Nashville on Nov. 29 last season.
• The Jaguars have a 12-7 record all-time against current members of the Southern Conference, with this contest USA's first on the road against a league school since Nov. 27, 2007, when it earned a 57-39 victory at Mercer.

Telemaque Leads Balanced Attack
With seven individuals posting five or more points in the Jaguars' win over William Carey on Tuesday just two individuals scored in double figures; sophomore Damaya Telemaque paced the group with 13 points after hitting 4-of-6 attempts from the floor as well as all four of her foul shots.  Not only was it the first time the guard has led South in the scoring column since the opener against Rutgers on Nov. 5 and her first contest with 10-plus points dating back to the Jags' match-up with Auburn on Dec. 4, she tied season highs after adding four rebounds and two assists.

Lewis Large In Win Over Lady Crusaders
Antoinette Lewis was the only other USA player to score in double digits against the Lady Crusaders after finishing the night with 10 points, with the junior center going 5-of-9 from the floor to record the 400th field goal of her career in the process.  Lewis led all players with 10 rebounds as well — the fifth straight outing that she has reached double figures in the category — as she has now posted a double-double six times this season including accomplishing the feat in three of four games this month.  Lewis also supplied three blocked shots, three steals and a pair of assists, pacing the team in rejections for the 40th time since joining the program prior to the start of the 2017-18 campaign.

With three-and-a-half minutes remaining in the opening quarter last time out, Savannah Jones connected on a pair of free throws to become the 20th player in school history to record 1,000 career points.  While the redshirt junior failed to reach double figures in the scoring column for the first time in the last seven games, she did hit a three-pointer to extend her streak to 23 outings in a row with at least one make from beyond the arc.  Jones also added five rebounds, marking the eighth time in the last nine contests she has finished with five or more boards.

Down Lowe
Devyn Lowe shared game-high honors against WCU with three steals, the third time she has accomplished the feat this year which is tied for the most on the Jaguar roster.  It was her third contest with three or more steals in 2019, making her the only Jaguar to accomplish the feat on multiple occasions thus far this season.  The redshirt sophomore also supplied nine points in the contest, as Lowe has recorded 42 points in the last five games after posting 17 in her first five appearances.

Additional Notes From The William Carey Game
• The Jaguars used their third different lineup of the year with senior Kennedi Centers making her first start since a victory at Southern on Nov. 19 last year.
• It was the second time this year that USA has never trailed in a contest; the Jags also accomplished the feat in a Nov. 26 win over Mobile.
• The Jaguars have now won all four games this season when allowing under 60 points.
• South finished with a season-high 12 steals, which led to 25 WCU turnovers — that's the most an opponent has committed so far this season, and the first time the Jaguars have forced the opposition into 25 or more miscues since turning the trick in a win over New Orleans on Nov. 24, 2017.
• USA's 42 points in the paint equaled its total from the two previous games combined.
