QUOTES
Head Coach Alexis Meeks-Rydell
- On the loss:
"We were in control the first two sets; I told the team not only did they win them, but were in control. It wasn't even a back-and-forth. Even when they (Coastal Carolina) went on a couple of runs, I still felt like we were following the game plan super well and we had them frazzled a little bit, and that was the position we wanted to be in. I thought Coastal did a really good job in set three of making adjustments, which is fine and that's going to happen; that's why you get five sets. We tried to make a couple more adjustments in set four, and they were just on a high, and they thrive off the service line too. I thought at the end we just couldn't keep up with their momentum a little bit. It's a learning experience, that's all you can chalk it up to. Our kids have to believe they're good enough to beat teams like that, because we are. That's a great program, but we're also a great program and we proved that in sets one and two, we just have to figure out how to get it done in set three, and if not then in set four or five. I hope we respond well tomorrow, and they (team) take it as a learning experience."
