MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., Tuesday for a 6 p.m. contest with Southern Miss at Reed Green Coliseum.

USA (11-6) has won seven of its last eight matches, dating back to a Sept. 17 win at Alabama State, after splitting a pair of Sun Belt Conference East Division road wins last weekend. The Jaguars fell in five sets at Georgia State Friday before sweeping Georgia Southern Saturday evening.
USM (1-15) won its first match of the season last Wednesday against Alabama State, which snapped a 14-match losing streak. The Golden Eagles fell to North Texas in four sets last Friday in Hattiesburg in a Conference USA contest.
South Alabama ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in hitting percentage (.242), tied for fifth in service aces per set (1.50) and sixth in kills per set (12.56).
Kelley Hartman leads the Sun Belt in hitting percentage (.404), and ranks eighth in kills per set (3.18). She recorded a career-high 29 kills in Friday's match at Georgia State. Rachael DeMarcus, who posted a career-high 54 assists at Georgia State, ranks fourth in the Sun Belt in assists per set (9.79), while Ashlyn Roberts ranks seventh in the league in digs per set (4.08).
Hartman currently ranks second in career hitting percentage (.306) at South Alabama, fourth in total blocks (331), fifth in block-assists (256), seventh in solo blocks (75), and ninth in kills (897) and blocks per set (0.90). DeMarcus currently ranks fifth in career assists per set (7.65), while Roberts ranks ninth in career digs pet set (2.47) at USA.
South Alabama holds a 29-20 all-time lead over Southern Miss in a series that dates back to 1975. The Jaguars have won the last three meetings in the series, dating back to 2016. The Golden Eagles last defeated USA in 2015 in a five-set victory in Hattiesburg, which marked the last time the schools played at Southern Miss.
