THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Richard Moodie
On getting the win
: "For us, it's everything. For us there's still a belief that we can go on and do something this year. We've got a great team and we play exciting stuff. It's nice for us to get the goals today. It's nice to see Morgan Cross get on the scoresheet today. We'll take this and build on it for next weekend."

On finally playing well and winning: "For us, it's the process, and we understand we're a team right now that has all the pieces. We play good soccer, we build out the back and do well in set pieces, it's just that final third. You're much more worried for a coach if you're not creating chances. We just have to be patient. The chances will come, the players will take them, and hopefully we'll hear Morgan Cross' name now a little more."

On Cross' goal: "That's something we work on in practice, actually. We play a zonal marking system so we play with one up top. That player has to be on the same side as where the cross is coming from, that way if we win it, we can counter. Justice collected it, it's 1-on-1 and you take your chances all day long. Morgan got away from her and it looked like she just gave up. Morgan struck it pretty early, so I was worried, but she did well. She's a great player and definitely someone that's capable of scoring more when she's in those scenarios."

On the shutout: "The times we got antsy and forced it, we were turning the ball over, but other than that, defensively we looked sound. Hannah Godfrey and Anita Ágústsdóttir had good games and Camryn Lyster's name can't go unmentioned today, she got an assist and played phenomenally. It's always great to keep a clean sheet. We have to stay in the game for us to score – it takes us forever – so the girls back there did a good job, and Justice is back there orchestrating everything. I'm happy for her, long may it continue."
