MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team will host Alabama State at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jag Gym.

The match will be streamed live and available for free through JagNationTV.com, while live stats will be provided through the multimedia section of USAJaguars.com.

USA (4-5) enters the match with a three-game winning streak after taking all three matches at last weekend's Jaguar Invitational in Mobile. Alabama State (3-8) carries a seven-game losing skid into Tuesday's contest.

South Alabama ranks fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in hitting percentage (.234) and service aces per set (1.37), and ranks fifth in kills per set (12.97).  Kelley Hartman ranks second in the league in hitting percentage (.397), tied for fourth in service aces per set (0.40), and sixth in kills per set (3.26). Ashlyn Roberts ranks eighth in the conference in digs per set (3.48), while Parker Harrell ranks eighth in assists per set (7.11).

In three matches in last weekend's Jaguar Invitational, South Alabama dropped just one set after sweeping Southeastern Louisiana and Mississippi State on Friday and defeating Louisiana Tech in four sets Saturday to cap the tournament. 

USA has won 18 straight matches over ASU dating back to 1985, when the Hornets last defeated the Jaguars in straight sets in Montgomery, Ala. South Alabama swept Alabama State in straight sets last year in Montgomery, and defeated the Hornets in four sets in 2015, which marked the last meeting at Jag Gym.

ASU fell to Pacific in four sets last weekend to open the Hampton Inn & Suites UNC Classic in Greeley, Colo., followed by straight-set losses to San Jose State and Northern Colorado to close the tournament. The Hornets are 0-2 in road matches this season.
