MOBILE, Ala. – Redshirt senior Parker Harrell from the University of South Alabama volleyball program visited to record this week's edition of "Inside JagNation" prior to the start of the Jaguars' season on Friday.

In this episode of the official podcast of South Athletics, the Baton Rouge, La., native discusses the start of her final collegiate season, what she has seen in preseason camp that excites her about the upcoming campaign and her role on the squad this fall.  Harrell also talks about why last year's team — which finished 17-10 overall while setting a program record with 12 Sun Belt Conference victories — was good, what she did to earn more playing time last fall after seeing limited action as a sophomore, and her expectations when she first arrived at South.  Additional topics of the podcast include her decision to not play as a freshman and attend LSU, how she handled the recruiting process, the influence her two older brothers had on her athletic career, earning her undergraduate degree in May and what career she hopes to pursue.

In her first three seasons with the program, Harrell has appeared in 45 matches and recorded 626 assists and 275 digs in 137 sets.  Last fall, she saw action on 26 occasions and ranked second on the team with a career-best 378 assists while adding 183 digs, 16 kills and 12 service aces.
