THREE MATCHES COMING UP FOR WOMEN’S TENNIS

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team heads out on the road for three matches in South Carolina.
 
On Saturday, the Jaguars face Troy, and on Sunday, they play Georgia Southern. Both matches will be hosted by Coastal Carolina at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
 
On Tuesday, South Alabama squares off with the College of Charleston at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
 
MATCH INFORMATION:
Date: March 24, 25 & 27
Host: Coastal Carolina (Saturday/Sunday) & College of Charleston (Tuesday)
Place: Stevens Tennis Complex (Saturday/Sunday) & College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point (Tuesday)
Match Times: Saturday 9 a.m. Sunday 8 a.m. Tuesday 1 p.m.
 
ON THE COURT FOR THE JAGUARS
-Yu Fujioka (Fr., Funabashi, Japan, 11-0 singles, 7-4 doubles)
-Nikola Kohoutova (Fr., Kralupy Nad Vltavou, Czech Republic, 4-1 singles, 6-1 doubles)
-Patricia Martins (Jr., Lisbon, Portugal, 7-0 singles, 8-2 doubles)
-Maxine Palmen (Fr., Sittard, Netherlands, 6-5 singles, 6-3 doubles)
-Milka Pasanen (Fr., Pieksamaki, Finland, 0-3 singles, 1-2 doubles)
-Leslie Soto (So., Santiago, Chile, 2-1 singles, 0-0 doubles)
-Alexandria Stiteler (Jr., Bradenton, Fla., 8-1 singles, 7-2 doubles)
-Alina Zolotareva (Jr., Barnaul, Russia, 5-4 singles, 7-4 doubles)
 
NOTES
-The Jaguars are coming off a 4-3 win over Louisiana Tech last Tuesday in Mobile.
-Stiteler moved up to No. 99 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
-This spring, Stiteler is 8-1 in singles and 7-2 in doubles, and during the fall season, she picked up two wins over nationally ranked opponents.
-Fujioka and Martins are undefeated this spring at 11-0 and 7-0 in singles, respectively.
-Troy is 3-9 on the year, and the Trojans are on a two-game skid.
-South Alabama leads the overall series with Troy 12-4, and the Jags have won the last three meetings between the teams.
-USA won a contest against Troy last season 4-0 at home.
-Georgia Southern started the year 7-3, and they are on a three-match win streak.
-The Jaguars have taken all four meeting between the two teams, including a pair of wins in 2017.
-The College of Charleston is 11-8 this spring, but the Cougars have dropped their last two matches.
-South Alabama and the College of Charleston have met just once before in, a 7-0 Jaguar victory in 2015.
