MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team bounced back from its first loss of the season to sweep Southeastern Louisiana 4-0 Sunday at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
 
DOUBLES
-Juniors Alexandria Stiteler (Bradenton, Fla.) and Patricia Martins (Lisbon, Portugal) dropped Dalina Dahlmans and Ximena Yanez 6-4 at No. 2.
-Freshmen Milka Pasanen (Pieksamaki, Finland) and Nikola Kohoutova (Kralupy Nad Vltavou) clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Dany Raygadas and Katya Cornejo on court 3.
 
SINGLES
-To start singles, Stiteler downed Holtkamp 6-1, 6-0 on court 1, and Fujioka won 6-0, 6-1 against Raygadas at No. 4 to put the Jags up 3-0.
-Kohoutova secured the victory for South Alabama by defeating Cornejo 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6.
 
NOTES
-The win puts the Jaguars at 6-1 on the season, while SELU fell to 3-3.
-The Jags remain undefeated at home at 4-0 this spring.
-Fujioka picked up her sixth straight singles win, continuing her undefeated season.
-Stiteler and Kohoutova remain unbeaten in singles this spring, each having 4-0 singles records.
-South Alabama's next match will be against Samford Saturday at 11 a.m. in Mobile.

"It's a good bounce back from yesterday. Everyone was disappointed about that. The good thing today was that there was a 25- to 30-minute stretch in singles where we came out and you could really see the quality shine through. That's the product that we want to have for the whole match. It's a fine line for us. We've got to stay patient with our progress. I think we will be very good by the end of the year."
