THEY SAID IT
Head coach Terry Fowler

Opening statement on the win: Come out on the road I thought we got off to a good start. Finished the first half really well. Just proud of the fact that we had balanced scoring coming into this game without Savannah Jones. We still had four players score in double figures.

On the scoring in the second quarter: We were rebounding the basketball, getting it pushed out in transition, getting some easy baskets, and then we were able to get the ball inside as well. Those are things that are key for us. If we can get some easy buckets, we just need to continue to rebound the ball.

On what Shaforia Kines means to the team: Everything. She's the steadying force for us. The one thing we talk about with her, is that when things are going awry people need to be able to look at you, and know it's going to be ok. That's what she's done. The last ten ballgames last season she was our leading scorer. She's carrying it on, and maturing right before our eyes.

Up next: South Alabama will head back out on the road to take on the University of Alabama on Wednesday, Dec. 5. Tip off versus the Crimson Tide is set for 11:30 a.m. at the Coleman Coliseum and can be seen on SEC Network +.
