LAST GAME
The University of South Alabama women's basketball team out-played East Tennessee State on Monday night at the Mitchell Center to come away with an 81-74 victory. With the win, South improves to 5-0 on the season and becomes just the second team in program history to start a season with five wins in a row. The Jags were led by a stellar performance from Antoinette Lewis.
Lewis dropped a team-high 24 points, brought home 12 rebounds, and blocked six shots on the way to her second double-double of the season. The sophomore forward from Memphis, Tenn. connected on 10-of-12 shots from the floor and was ferocious on the glass, leading both teams with five offensive rebounds.
Shaforia Kines and Savannah Jones were there to shoot the ball from outside tonight, as they both went 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Kines played a game-high 35:47 and put up 23 points, while Jones finished with 18. The pair hit back-to-back threes to start off the fourth quarter, which set up a 12-2 run for the Jags and helped build their lead back up to double digits.

South Alabama will head out on the road to take on Alabama on Wednesday, Dec. 5. Tip off versus the Crimson Tide is set for 11:30 a.m. at the Coleman Coliseum and can be seen on ESPN+.

This marks the fourth game in the series between the two teams. South holds a 2-1 advantage over Tennessee State. The inaugural game in the matchup came on December, 2 1989 in Memphis, which the Jags won 71-62. This will be the second contest held in Nashville, South won the previous matchup at home 59-43. This will be the first time Coach Fowler has faced the Tigers with South Alabama
