LAST GAME
The University of South Alabama women's basketball team outscored Southern University 16-9 in the fourth quarter to walk away with a 53-49 non-conference road win at the F.G Clark Activity Center in Baton Rouge, La. The Jags went on a 14-3 run in the final quarter to turn a 42-37 deficit into a 51-45 lead with 2:42 left to play, and held on to improve to 4-0 for the sixth time in program history. 

NEXT GAME
South Alabama will head back out on the road to take on Tennessee State on Thursday, Nov. 29. Tip off versus the Tigers is set for 6 p.m. at the Gentry Center.

SERIES NOTES    
 - The meeting will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. 

OPENING TIP
-   South Alabama (4-0) is coming off a come-from-behind win on Monday night at Southern.
-    The 4-0 start for the Jaguars is the first for program since the 2012-13 season when they opened the year with a 4-0 mark.
-    In the 45-plus season history of the program, the 4-0 start marks just the sixth time that South has been perfect after its first four contests to start a season.  
-    South returns from its first road trip of the season with two non-conference victories. 
-    Shaforia Kines returned to action after missing the game vs. Central Arkansas due to injury. Kines made the start and put up six of her seven points in the fourth quarter.
-    Kines hit two free throws to break the tie at 44 in the fourth and give the Jags its first lead since the first quarter. Her jumper at the 2:42 mark put the Jags up by six, their largest margin of the night.  
-    Savannah Jones led the Jags in minutes played and led the team with 11 points, while also adding six rebounds and two assists. 
-    The Jags bench accounted for 18 points against Southern, tying its high-mark for the season set against Spring Hill. 
-    Jayla Morrow leads the Jags with 14 assists on the season, Kines joins her as the only two Jags in double figures in the category through four games. 
-    Antoinette Lewis leads the team in rebounding (7.8/g) and blocks (6) and is averaging 10.8 points per game 
-    Lewis and Jones are the only two Jags to have started all four games for South this season. 
-    East Tennessee State (0-7) comes into Mobile after having completed in the Vancouver Showcase over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend
-    ETSU played three games over three days in Vancouver. The Buccaneers lost 101-55 to South Carolina on Thursday, fell 82-68 to Western Kentucky on Friday, and lost to Rutgers 68-44 on Saturday. 
-    Winless through its first seven games, ETSU's margin of defeat is -21.7. 
-    The team's smallest margin of defeat (-13) came in its opener v. Cincinnati on November 9th and its largest margin of defeat (-46) came on its Thanksgiving day loss to USC. 
-    Erica Haynes-Overton leads the Buccaneers scoring 15.6 points per game, and is tied for seventh in the nation with 25 steals… no other player is scoring in double digits. 
-    The Jaguars are one of three Sun Belt teams listed on the Bucs 2018-19 schedule. ETSU lost 66-84 to Troy on Nov. 19 and are scheduled to play Appalachian State in Johnson City, Tenn., on Nov. 29.
-    Last season, ETSU finished with a 20-13 record (11-3 SoCon) and lost to Mercer in the Southern Conference Title game. The Buccaneers received a 2018 WNIT berth and fell to James Madison in the first round.
