MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team will open its season with a pair of matches at Tulane Sat., Aug. 26, in New Orleans.
USA will open the 2017 season at 1 p.m. against the Green Wave at the Hertz Center (2800 Ben Weiner Dr., New Orleans, La. 70118), followed by a second match at 6 p.m.
South Alabama was scheduled to open the season at the Barcelona HBU Classic in Houston on Friday, followed by a pair of matches on Saturday, but the tournament was cancelled due to the expected impact of Hurricane Harvey. Tulane was scheduled to open its season against Texas-El Paso in San Antonio, Texas, but the match was also cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey. The Green Wave are now scheduled to play Louisiana-Lafayette in a pair of matches Friday afternoon before hosting USA on Saturday.
