BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis team swept all six singles matches en route to a 7-0 victory against Samford Saturday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Complex.
The Jaguars win their fourth match in a row to go to 4-1 on the year. The Bulldogs have their four-match win streak snapped and drop to 4-2.
"We definitely showed some glimpses today of playing the quality of tennis that we are capable off," USA head coach
Jaco Keyser said. "More importantly we continued to grind mentally and competed the right way when things got testy within sets or when the quality of play dropped.
"The hard part is to reset tonight and repeat today's impressive collective team effort. If we can do that then we will be a pretty tough out by April and May."
