MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama volleyball team will face Troy at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Trojan Arena in Troy, Ala.

South Alabama (13-9, 4-5 SBC) split a pair of conference road matches last weekend. The Jaguars fell in straight sets at Arkansas State Friday, but rebounded with a 3-1 win at Little Rock on Saturday. USA enters Tuesday's match in fourth place in the SBC East Division standings.
Troy (6-20, 0-9 SBC) enters the match in last place in the SBC East Division, and carries a 16-game losing streak into the contest. The Trojans' last win came on Sept. 10 against Savannah State.
South Alabama ranks third in the SBC in hitting percentage (.241), assists per set (11.85) and kills per set (12.62). Abby Baker ranks third in the league in digs per set (4.37), while Sarah Richardson ranks ninth in the conference in hitting percentage (.292) and blocks per set (1.02).
The Jaguars rank third in hitting percentage (.224) and fourth in assists per set (11.50) in conference matches. Mechell Daniel ranks ninth in the league in hitting percentage (.297) in SBC matches, and is 10th in kills per set (2.82). Richardson ranks seventh in the SBC in blocks per set (1.11) in conference contests. Troy ranks last in the league in hitting percentage (.074), assists per set (8.67) and kills per set (9.88).
USA holds a 41-26 all-time lead over Troy in a series that began in 1974. South Alabama swept Troy in an earlier meeting this year in Mobile, and has won two of the last three meetings after the schools split a pair of matches last season.
