DENTON, Texas- Due to overnight rain and snowfall and more predicted inclement weather in the Denton, Texas area, Sunday's softball doubleheader between the University of South Alabama and North Texas at Lovelace Stadium has been canceled.

The decision to cancel the games was made around 8 a.m., with the forecast suggesting a mixture of rain and severe winds in the Denton area, with a high of only 44 degrees.  The first two games of the series originally scheduled to be played on Saturday were also canceled due to weather issues.  There are no plans at this time to make up any of this weekend's games with North Texas.

The Jaguars will resume action on Wednesday when they take on Sun Belt Conference opponent Troy at 5 p.m. at the Troy Softball Complex.
