MOBILE, Ala. ? The University of South Alabama Athletic Ticket Office announced Monday that it will be offering rewards to Jaguar season-ticket holders as part of a referral program that will run through the day prior to the school’s first-ever game.

USA’s first-year program will make its debut on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 4 p.m. against Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.

For each ticket sold as part of the “Red Zone Challenge,” the referring USA season ticket holder will receive one “yard.”  Available prizes ? which are obtained by reaching a minimum number of yards ? include an official USA Football T-shirt (four yards), a football signed by the entire Jaguar coaching staff (eight yards), a game day coaches polo shirt (10 yards), access for two to a USA Athletics VIP Tent at Ladd-Peebles Stadium (16 yards), and the ability to join the team on the bus ride to the stadium as well as two sideline passes for a home game in the fall (20 yards).

Three grand prizes will be available at the end of the challenge.  The first grand prize, which requires a minimum of 35 referral tickets, includes traveling with the Jaguars, hotel accommodations and two tickets to a 2010 USA Football road game that will be made by bus.  The second grand prize involves a day with the Jag coaching staff including breaking down game film, lunch with head coach Joey Jones and a tour of the school’s new football field house, while the third grand prize is two tickets to a 2009 home game for the USA Athletic Director’s suite.

The second and third grand prizes require a minimum of 25 referrals tickets.

The three grand prize winners will be notified by Sept. 18.

Referrals can be made by calling (251) 461-1USA (1872) or by visiting the school’s official athletic web site, www.usajaguars.com.  An on-line form can be filled out by highlighting the link to tickets at the top of the page and then clicking on the link for the “Red Zone Challenge.”

Individuals who are referred can take part in the challenge as soon as they become a USA Football season-ticket holder.
