USA MEN'S TENNIS BLANKS IDAHO STATE

BOISE, Idaho --- The University of South Alabama men’s tennis team did not lose a set in a 4-0 shutout of Idaho State Saturday morning at Julia Davis Park.

The Jaguars improve to 8-9 on the season and complete play in the Boise State Spring Break Invitational. The Bengals fall to 0-14.

USA lost just six games in doubles play, easily earning the point. The No. 3 team of sophomore Aaron Krisan (Marietta, Ga.) and senior Marek Sramek (Skalica, Slovakia) shut out the team from Idaho State 8-0.

The Jags clinched the match with straight set victories at Nos. 2, 5 and 6 singles, dropping just three combined games. Freshman Hanno Bartsch (Pretoria, South Africa) swept David Kutchins 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

South Alabama returns to action next weekend at the Sun Belt Shootout in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
